เทศกาล “La Fête” 2008 ปิดฉากลงด้วยความสำเร็จอันยิ่งใหญ่ด้วยการแสดงของคณะ Montalvo Hervieu ในปีนี้ “La Fête” กลับมาอีกครั้งภายใต้ห้วงแห่งความฝันพร้อมเปิดม่านเทศกาลด้วยการ แสดงของคณะ Philippe Genty นำโดย ฟิลิปป์ ฌองตี นักแสดงอันดับต้นๆ ใน แวดวงละครเวทีซึ่ง เปิดแสดงมาแล้วใน 5 ทวีปภายในระยะเวลา 40 ปี และนำเสนอผลงานสู่สายตาผู้ชมในเกือบทุก ประเทศสำคัญๆ ทั่วโลก กระนั้น เขายังไม่เคยเปิดแสดงในประเทศไทย ปีนี้จึงนับเป็นโอกาสอันดียิ่ง ที่ “La Fête” จะพาท่านไปสัมผัสโลกอัศจรรย์ของศิลปินผู้มีเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่นผู้นี้

“อวสานแห่งปฐพี” ผสานศาสตร์แห่งละคร นาฏยลีลา ดนตรี หุ่นกระบอก และมายากลอย่างลงตัว ทุก ฉากถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวเสมือนอยู่ในห้วงแห่งความฝันอันหวนให้คนึงถึงบทกวีของมากริตต์ กวีแนว เหนือจริง (surrealism) ชาวเบลเยี่ยม การแสดงไม่ได้ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวแค่เพียงเรื่องเดียว แต่เป็น ร้อยเป็นพันเรื่อง เพราะผู้ชมแต่ละท่านต่างสรรค์สร้างเรื่องราวของตัวเองโดยการแสดงชุดนี้เริ่มแสดง ครั้งแรกเมื่อปี 2005 ณ โรงละคร Nevers แห่งแคว้น Bourgogne ในประเทศฝรั่งเศส และเปิดแสดง มาแล้วทั่วโลก และที่สำคัญ “La fin des terres” จะปรากฏสู่สายตาผู้ชมเป็นครั้งสุดท้ายใน เทศกาล “La Fête” ณ กรุงเทพมหานคร ในโอกาสนี้ ขอขอบคุณฟิลิปป์ ฌองตี และแมรี่ อันเดอร์วู๊ด ล่วงหน้า ที่จะนำพาพวกเราสู่การเดินทางอันน่าอัศจรรย์ รวมทั้งขอความแสดงความยินดีกับนักแสดงและฝ่าย เทคนิคทุกท่านที่ทุ่มเทสรรค์สร้างผลงานชั้นเลิศให้ปรากฏสู่สายตาผู้ชม

“Expédition Alexandre” ในปี 1961 และเปิดแสดงรอบโลกเป็นครั้งแรกโดยใช้รถยอดนิยมของฝรั่งเศส รุ่น 2CV เป็นเวที เจ็ดปีต่อ มาหลังจากเปิดการแสดงใน 47 ประเทศทั่วโลก ฟิลิปป์ร่วมกับแมรี่ อันเดอร์วู๊ด ได้ก่อตั้งคณะภายใต้ ชื่อตัวเขาเอง และได้ร่วมแสดงกับศิลปินชื่อดัง Zizi Jeanmaire และ Roland Petit ที่ Olympia และ Casino de Paris ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ต่อจากนั้น เดินทางไปเปิดการแสดงที่อเมริกา อังกฤษ ญี่ปุ่น ออสเตรเลียและแอฟริกา และกลับมาแสดงที่ Théâtre de la Ville à Paris ในปี 1976 ก่อนจะ ลัดฟ้าไปเปิดการแสดงให้แก่ผู้ชมชาวเอเชียและโอเชียเนีย คณะ Philippe Genty เข้าร่วมแสดงใน เทศกาลระดับนานาชาติอย่างต่อเนื่อง ได้แก่ เทศกาล ณ ฮ่องกง เพิร์ธ ซิดนีย์ อัดแลด (ออสเตรเลีย) เวลลิงตัน แมดริด มอสโค ปี 1981 เปิดแสดงที่บรอดเวย์และอเมริกา ปี 1982 ณ ประเทศจีน ในปี 1992 การแสดงชุด “Cargo 92” ที่ร่วมแสดงกับ Royal de Luxe ฟิลิปป์ เดกูเฟล่ และ ลา มาโน เนกรา หรือ มานู เชา (la Mano Negra (Manu Chao) ประสบความสำเร็จอย่างท่วมท้นในอเมริกาใต้ การแสดงทุกชุดของเขาปรากฏสู่สายตาผู้ชมในระดับสากล (ทั่วยุโรป อเมริกา เอเชีย อินเดีย ตะวันออกกลาง เป็นต้น) และประสบความสำเร็จในฝรั่งเศส ไม่ยิ่งหย่อนกว่ากัน โดยเฉพาะการแสดง ชุด Dédale ซึ่งได้รับเลือกให้แสดงใน Cour d’honneur ในเทศกาลละคร ณ เมือง อาวียง (Festival d’Avignon) ประจำปี 2007 “อวสานแห่งปฐพี” เริ่มแสดงเมื่อปี 2005 ส่วนการแสดงชุด ล่าสุดของคณะ คือ Boliloc เริ่มแสดงตั้งแต่ปี 2007 เป็นต้นมา ในเทศกาล “La Fête” ครั้งนี้ นับเป็นครั้งแรกที่ผู้ชมจะได้มีโอกาสสัมผัสผลงานของ ฟิลิปป์ ฌองตีในประเทศไทย

After the success if the Company Montalvo Hervieu for the closing event of the 2008 edition, “La Fête” continues from where it had left off, in the midst of a dream, with the Philippe Genty Company!
Philippe Genty is one of the world’s greatest Theatre persons. In 40 years, he has staged his shows across the 5 continents, and in all the world’s biggest countries… or rather, almost all, as he has never been invited to Thailand! “La Fête" gives you the opportunity to discover the amazing world of this unique artiste, and suggests that you do not miss it, just in case you may have to wait another 40 years for it to be staged again here!

“Land’s End” is a blend of theatre, dance, music, puppetry and magic. In this refined world that recalls the poetry of Magritte paintings, scenes follow in succession with no narrative rationale, with only associations, as in a dream. There isn’t just one story, there are thousands, and each spectator remembers the one he prefers. Created in 2005 at the Théâtre de Nevers in Burgundy (France), Lands’ End has already gone around the world and will be staged for the last time in Bangkok. The Philippe Genty Company
It was in 1961 that Philippe Genty created his first puppet show: “Expédition Alexandre” and imagined his first world tour … in a modest 2CV Citroen car (that was very popular in France). 7 years and 47 countries later, Philippe Genty created the company that bears his name, along with Mary Underwood. He performed at the Olympia and the Casino de Paris with Zizi Jeanmaire and Roland Petit, then toured the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia and Africa. In 1976, he performed for the first time at the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris before flying to Asia and Oceania. The company participated in the major international festivals: Hong-Kong, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Wellington, Madrid, Moscow; Broadway and the US in 1981, and China in 1982! In 1992, the company was in Latin America with the famous tour “Cargo 92” along with Royal de Luxe, Philippe Découflé and Mano Negra (Manu Chao). Each show earned international acclaim (in Europe, USA, Asia, India, Middle East…) and also in France: “Dédale” was performed in the Cour d’honneur - the main stage - of the Avignon Festival in 1997. From 1968 to 2004, the company created and performed around 10 shows the world over. In 2005, “Lands’ End” was created. The last show is called “Boliloc”, and was created in 2007. In 2009, for the very first time, we can see a Philippe Genty show in Thailand!

In France, this show was created with the support of the Maison de la Culture of Nevers and Nièvre. It was co-produced by the Théâtre National de Chaillot – Paris ; Théâtre Les Célestins – Lyons ; Théâtre André Malraux - Rueil Malmaison ; Espace Jacques Prévert- Aulnay sous Bois ; Maison de la Culture Loire Atlantique/MCLA –Nantes ; La Coursive Scène Nationale of La Rochelle ; and the Grand Théâtre of Lorient.
