“ Sacrés Français ! ”
จะนำคุณพบกับการแสดงรูปแบบใหม่ของเหล่าศิลปินไม่สังกัดคณะมากมาย ที่ต่างใช้ความกล้าและ ความคิดแปลกแหวกแนวในการเสนอความจริง กอปรกับลีลาท่าทางและภาษาที่จะทำให้ท่านตื่นตา ตื่นใจ

“Press” เสนอภาพของชายหนุ่มหัวสมัยใหม่คนหนึ่งที่มีมุมธรรมดาแต่แฝงความลึกลับในอีกมุม หนุ่มช่าง กังกล ผู้นี้เป็นหุ่นประดิษฐ์ที่เคลื่อนไหวด้วยระบบควบคุมอัตโนมัติที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยล้อขนาดเล็กซึ่งเป็นสิ่งมีชีวิตเดียวในตัว เขาด้วยความสมัครใจที่จะอยู่ในห้องค่อนข้างว่างเปล่า จึงทำให้เขาเกิดการ เปลี่ยนแปลงทั้งทางร่างกายและจิตใจ สิ่งเหล่านี้บังคับให้เขาต้องปรับตัวและการเคลื่อนไหว ดังนั้น เขาจึงเหมือนอยู่ในทางตันอันมืดมิดและภาวะน่าวิตก หนังสือพิมพ์ Le Monde ยกย่องให้การแสดง ชุดนี้เป็น “เพชรเม็ดจิ๋วส่องประกายทางปัญญาและปรัชญา” ขณะที่ หนังสือพิมพ์อังกฤษ The Gardian และ Time Out ให้คะแนนการแสดงชุดนี้ถึง 4 และ 5 ดาว

ปิแยร์ ริกาล
อดีตนักกรีฑาวิ่งข้ามรั้ว 400 เมตร ปัจจุบันอายุ 35 ปี จบการศึกษาทางด้านเศรษฐศาสตร์การเงินและ การผลิตภาพยนตร์ ในช่วงกำลังศึกษา เขาได้รู้จักคนในวงการนาฏยศิลป์มากมาย อาทิ Heddy Maalem Bernardo Montet Wim Vandekeybus ต่อมา เขาได้เข้าร่วมกับคณะของ Gilles Jobin ในปี 2002 เพื่อสร้างสรรค์การเต้นหลากหลายรูปแบบ ระหว่างนั้นเขามีโอกาสทำงานเป็นผู้กำกับ คลิปวิดีโอและรายการสารคดีโทรทัศน์ อีกทั้งยังริเริ่มระบบวิดีโอสำหรับคณะ CIE 111 (“Plan B” ใน La Fête ปี 2006) เดือนพฤศจิกายน 2546 เขาก่อตั้งคณะ Dernière Minute เพื่อถ่ายทอดการ แสดงเดี่ยวครั้งแรกบนเวที โดยมี Aurélien Bory (สังกัดคณะ Cie 111) เป็นผู้กำกับร่วม ต่อมาในเดือนตุลาคม 2549 เขาได้ทำงานร่วมกับ Aurélien Bory อีกครั้งเพื่อเสนอการแสดงชุดที่สอง “Arrêt de jeu” ที่โรงละครแห่งชาติเมืองตูลูส และได้เปิดแสดงชุด “Press” ที่โรงละคร Gate ณ กรุง ลอนดอนในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ ปี 2551 ต่อด้วยการจัดแสดงใน La Biennale de la Danse ที่เมืองลียง ทั้งหมดเป็นข้อพิสูจน์แห่งความสำเร็จในเส้นทางศิลปะของเขา

With “Sacrés Français !“ or “Holy French!”, you will discover the latest trends. These unique artists who hit the headlines through the sheer audacity and originality of their creations, will astonish you with their style and statement.

“Press” exposes the life of modern man in his immense ordinariness and at the same time, in his enigmatic complexity. The body of this individual-product, worrisome dandy, is driven by a standardized linking of his own automatisms, but also by the wheels of his own narrow vital space. Perhaps with consent, he finds himself held captive in a room almost entirely empty. The mechanical modifications of this physical and mental environment act upon his body, forcing him to adapt endlessly his position and his movement. He is thus led into an absurd and anguished impasse…The renowned daily Le Monde has described this performance “a small jewel of intelligence and philosophy in action” while the English news papers The Guardian and Time Out have awarded it 4 and 5 stars !

Pierre Rigal is 35 years of age. Former athlete of the 400m hurdles, he holds a degree in mathematical economics and cinema. While a student, he met choreographers like Heddy Maalem, Bernardo Montet, Wim Vandekeybus. In 2002, he joined the company of Gilles Jobin to create several choreographies. At the same time, he worked as a video and documentary director for television and set video installations for the Cie 111 (“Plan B” well-received in “La Fête” 2006). In November 2003, he set up the Dernière Minute Company, designed and interpreted his first play, the solo “erection”, co-directed for the stage with Aurélien Bory (Cie 111). In October 2006, still working with Aurélien Bory, he gave his second performance “Arrêts de jeu” at the Théâtre National in Toulouse. In February 2008, he performed “Press” at the Gate Theatre in London, then presented it during the Dance Biennial in Lyon. A real hit!
