The Thailand Philharmonic is delighted to welcome Maestro Kahchun Wong back to the podium. Internationally renowned for his electrifying stage presence, Maestro Kahchun has recently been appointed the Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Hallé Orchestra and also holds the position of Chief Conductor with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Sharing the spotlight is our exceptional soloist, the legendary Principal Trombone of the New York Philharmonic, Joseph Alessi. Together, they present a remarkable program featuring Chick Corea's evocative Trombone Concerto, infused with jazzy brilliance, and Mahler's enigmatic Symphony No. 7, promising an evening of musical exploration and excellence.

Tchaikovsky is celebrated for his remarkable talent in expressing profound and intense emotions through his music, and his Fifth Symphony is a prime example of his genius. Under the guidance of Maestro Scarano, the Thailand Philharmonic presents a program of iconic compositions, including Mussorgsky's renowned Night on Bald Mountain and Rodrigo's famous guitar concerto, brilliantly performed by the award-winning Korean guitar soloist, Kyuhee Park.

Gustav HOLST: The Planets
Embark on a cosmic journey with the Thailand Phil as we take you to the far reaches of the universe with Gustav Holst's awe-inspiring work, The Planets. Holst dedicates each movement to a different planet, capturing the mythical qualities associated with each celestial body. This iconic music has graced countless movie and television soundtracks, and we will enhance the experience with captivating motion graphics projected on a giant cinema screen. In addition, we are thrilled to feature the stellar Turkish flute virtuoso, Bülent Evcil, who will enchant us with his performance of Prangcharoen's Seismic Waves for Flute and Orchestra.
Thailand Phil is proud to partner with the faculty and students of the Communication Design Program at Mahidol University International College in the creation of the animated graphics.
