Black Metal is a sub genre of Metal music which focused on dark forces, especially those spirits, ghosts, ancient mythology and the mystery of life after death. It also mentioned the war of Gods in heaven and Satan in hell. Lyrically, Black Metal songs always told like a good scary novel.
So it’s normal for Black Metal musicians to combine those stories with Metal music. It’s represented with the growling voice and evil costume and make-up to maximize the overall atmosphere. This kind of music was popular since early ‘90s especially in Europe and Scandinavia.
Behemoth from Poland is one of the world’s leading Black Metal band. Since 1995, they performed over 10,000 shows all over the world with album sales over 100,000 units. This is the great opportunity for Thai Metal fans to experience the originality of Black Metal from Europe.
The opening act is Surrender of Divinity – the one and only Black Metal band from Thailand. They’re known in France, Holland, Germany and South America. They just performed in Under the Black Sun festival in Berlin, Germany last July.

The concert of Behemoth and Surrender of Divinity on November 5, 2008 is the first time 2 Black Metal from 2 continents meet each other. This is a rare chance and the one that Metal fans shouldn’t miss. Black Metal will spread its evil wing on that day. ‘Behemoth Live in Bangkok 2008’ will be held on November 5, 2008 at Studio 125 with full light and sound system. This might as well be the best Metal concert in Thailand for the latter half of 2008!!!
