BSO-CHANG AND BELLINCAMPI Return
Great Artists of The World 2010
The Bangkok Symphony Orchestra Foundation, in association with B. Grimm & Co., ROP and Credit Suisse AG,
is proud to announce preliminary information about the
fourth Great Artists of the World Series.
Like its predecessors, the 2010 Series features some of the world's most internationally acclaimed artists.
SARAH CHANG
Recognised the world over as one of classical music's most
captivating and gifted performers, Sarah Chang was one of the
most remarkable prodigies of any generation. When she was just
eight, she performed with the New York Philharmonic and
Philadelphia Orchestras under Zubin Mehta and Riccardo Muti.
Now a mature artist, her musical insight, technical virtuosity, and
emotional range continue to astonish. Other orchestras with which
she has collaborated include the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna
Philharmonic, the London Symphony, the Concertgebouw, the
Leipzig Gewandhaus, the Bayerische Rundfunk and the Orchestre
National de France, working alongside esteemed conductors
including Daniel Barenboim, Sir Colin Davis, Charles Dutoit,
Valery Gergiev, Bernard Haitink, James Levine, Lorin Maazel,
Kurt Masur and Sir Simon Rattle. Among her most recent
recordings are the first concertos of Prokofiev and Shostakovich
with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic, and the
Brahms and Bruch #1 concertos with Kurt Masur and the Dresden
Philharmonic.
