The dancers of Cisne Negro Cia de Dança have unique cross-over training in dance and athletics, giving their work much vitality, edginess and technical quality. Add to that the influences, such as Brazilian black traditions, which they absorb from their home city of São Paulo, and the result is a repertoire which continues to win them "Teatro da Dança" awards each year. Their repertoire is strongly bedded in contemporary works due to prolific collaborations with local and international innovative choreographers including Patrick Delcroix, Itzik Galili and Vasco Wellencamp. They will perform four one-act contemporary worksby different choreographers.
