Carmina Burana is regarded by many to be the most magnificent scenic cantata. Based on medieval poems covering topics including the pleasures and perils in life with their overtones of joy, sadness, lust and humour, its themes are as relevant today as they were in the 13th century.
This hypnotic cantata will be performed by soloists and singers of the Daejeon Philharmonic Choir, accompanied by musicians and dancers, under the baton of German conductor Toll. Toll has a successful career as composer and conductor, with six CDs releases to date, and currently also holds the position of Artistic Director and Chief Conductor at Daejeon Philharmonic Choir.
