     Whereabouts Unknown คือการสำรวจตำแหน่งแห่งที่ในการดำรงอยู่ของเราจากผลงานของจีริ ไคเลียน การแสดงที่โดดเด่นด้วยแสงเงา ร่างกายที่เปี่ยมด้วยพละกำลัง และหยุดนิ่งมากกว่าเคลื่อนไหว อีกทั้งยังเผยให้เห็นถึงเงาเลือนรางในความเวิ้งว้างและซับซ้อนของชีวิต

     The Second Person สะท้อนถึงความหลงใหลของคริสตัล ไพต์ ในการสงครามการฉุดยื้อระหว่างการแสดงออกถึงตัวตนของมนุษย์กับการทำตัวให้สอดคล้องกับสังคม การออกแบบท่าเต้นของไพต์แสดงให้เห็นถึงสิ่งต่างๆ เหล่านี้ได้อย่างชัดเจน กับผลงานที่มีเอกภาพและซับซ้อน ซึ่งนักเต้นจะเคลื่อนไหวไปพร้อมกันราวกับเป็นร่างเดียว แต่ก็คงไว้ซึ่งรูปแบบความแตกต่างของแต่ละคนได้อย่างทรงพลัง

     คณะเนเธอร์แลนด์ แดนส์ เธียเตอร์ นับเป็นคณะนักเต้นร่วมสมัยผู้บุกเบิกระดับแถวหน้า และยังคงตอกย้ำการเป็นพลังขับเคลื่อนสำคัญของแวดวงการเต้นแบบร่วมสมัยด้วยผลงานใหม่ๆ ของพวกเขาอย่างต่อเนื่อง

     Whereabouts Unknown, with its ritual tone,is Kylian’s exploration about the ‘whereabouts' of our existence. A striking work with silhouettes, wiry dynamic and more locking of limbs into sockets than fluidity, it also reveals glimpses of the vast and complex layers of life.

     Bella Figura (“putting on a good face”) speaks of the sophisticated sensuality of adult relationships, as well as the ambiguity of social correctness. Kylian’s choreography for this work requires precise and controlled techniques, such as slow motion movement, from his dancers.  Set to a mix of baroque, Vivaldi and avant-garde music, Bella Figura will leave transfixing images in the audience’s mind.

     Netherlands Dance Theatre was the foremost pioneer in contemporary dance, and still remains a driving force with their emphasis on new works.
