Maestro choreographer Balanchine said of Serenade, which is set to Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings in C, that, Dancers simply move to fine music . a serenade, if you wish under the moon.
Whispers in the Dark is a contemporary work evoking moving water. The works of choreographer Liang, winner of the National Choreographic Competition (2006), are regularly performed internationally, including by the New York City Ballet and Netherlands Dance Theatre.
Who Cares?, also by Balancine, is a sparkling work with a nightclub feel as the dancers step out to Gershwin's lush music including "S'Wonderful", "Somebody Loves Me" and "I Got Rhythm".
These one-act ballets will be accompanied by orchestra.
