Siminovs interpretation of Cinderella gives a contemporary touch to the story of a young woman, with worthy attributes and who is neglected and exploited, then unexpectedly finds love and fortune. Siminov is a ballet choreographer, recognized for his brilliant work since he was in his twenties, and this production received the National Theatre Golden Mask Award (2007) for Best Ballet Production.
Novosibirsk Ballet Theatre is one of the top three ballet companies in Russia, and Cinderella will be accompanied by their orchestra under the baton of Currentzis, a Special Award winner of the Golden Mask Theatre Award (2007).
