     ลา ฟอร์ซา เดล เดสติโน (พลังแห่งพรหมลิขิต) เป็นการแสดงโอเปรา-บัลเลต์สมัยใหม่ที่หาชมได้ยากในกรุงเทพฯ และเป็นอีกครั้งที่นักออกแบบท่าเต้น ราดู โปคลิตารู (Radu Poklitaru) ได้นำบทประพันธ์อุปรากรคลาสสิกชื่อเรื่องเดียวกันของจูเซปเป แวร์ดิ มาตีความใหม่ จนออกมาเป็นการแสดงบัลเลต์ยุคใหม่ อีกทั้งยังเป็นการแสดงชุดที่สองของคณะเคียฟ โมเดิร์น โอเปรา/บัลเลต์ ในมหกรรมศิลปะการแสดงและดนตรีนานาชาติครั้งนี้ การแสดงชุดนี้มีโอเลนา เกรบเนียค (Olena Grebeniuk) นักร้องเสียงโซปราโนผู้มากความสามารถ เป็นแขกรับเชิญด้วย

     ลา ฟอร์ซา เดล เดสติโน สะท้อนชีวิตของนักร้องโอเปราสาว นับจากก้าวแรกบนเวทีที่เธอมีแต่ความขลาดอาย ไปสู่การเป็นที่ยอมรับและเกียรติยศที่ถาโถมเข้ามา จากนั้นกลับกลายไปสู่การหลงตัว จนที่สุดก็ต้องสูญเสียทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างอันเป็นที่รักไป ด้วยการอธิบายที่ถ่ายทอดโดยใช้ภาษากายแทนคำพูดของนักเต้นบนเวที บทนักร้องเสียงโซปราโนตัวเอกของเรื่องรับบทโดยโอเลนา เกรบเนียค นักร้องนำของคณะเคียฟ โอเปราและบัลเลต์ เจ้าของรางวัลจากการแข่งขันมากมาย รวมทั้งรางวัลเหรียญทองในการแข่งขันที่ Euro Video Grand-Prix (2006) รางวัลเหรียญทองแดงจาก Antonin Dvorzhak International Competition of Opera Singers (2003) และรางวัลเหรียญทอง ‘Golden Hope’ จากการแข่งขัน Ivan Patorzhynskyi International Competition of Vocalists (1999)

     La Forza del Destino (The Force of Destiny) is a modern opera-ballet, a genre rarely seen in Bangkok. Choreographer Radu Poklitaru gives another original and engrossing interpretation of a classical work – this time, Giuseppe Verdi’s opera of the same name – as a modern ballet. This is the second performance by the Kiev Modern Opera/Ballet Theatre in the festival, and includes guest soprano Olena Grebeniuk. 

     La Forza del Destino traces the path of an opera singer - from her first timid steps as a debutante on stage, to recognition and glory, then to disillusion and the loss of everything dear – with silent commentary from dancers sharing the stage.  She is played by soprano Olena Grebeniuk, soloist of the Kiev Opera and Ballet Theatre and winner of numerous awards including the gold medal  at the Euro Video Grand-Prix (2006), the bronze medal at Antonin Dvorzhak International Competition of  Opera Singers (2003) and the gold medal ‘Golden Hope’ at the Ivan Patorzhynskyi International Competition of Vocalists (1999).
