We Will Rock You

WE WILL ROCK YOU burst onto the London stage in May 2002 and has been playing to packed houses ever since, becoming the longest-running musical to play at the Dominion one of the West End's largest theatres.

We Will Rock You is a new breed of musical; a unique collaboration between QUEEN the legends of rock and one of Britain 's most successful playwrights and comic genius, Ben Elton. The result is an electrifying rock theatre experience that is guaranteed to blow your mind and send audiences out of the theatre on a high. It was author and director Ben who persuaded Queen's founding members Roger Taylor and Brian May to use Queen's songs for a musical. Undoubtedly it is the Ben Elton/Queen marriage that has created the masterpiece, but they sensibly added some of the world's top creative talent to the mix.

The sets are designed by Mark Fisher, who in a stellar career has designed sets for Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd to name but a few. Arlene Phillips provides stunning choreography. She has choreographed countless West End productions, including Starlight Express, Grease, Saturday Night Fever and the recent West End triumph The Sound of Music. She also appears as a judge on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing which is broadcast around the world. Christopher Renshaw, a director of opera and musical theatre internationally, directed the Tony award-winning Broadway and West End production of The King and I, before turning his attention to the London production of We Will Rock You

So successful has the show been that it opened to record advances in Toronto in 2005 where it continues to play to packed audiences nightly. In addition to an ongoing Spanish-language touring production in Spain , WE WILL ROCK YOU also continues to break box office records in Germany , where it is the number one grossing musical of all time. Other territories recently conquered by WE WILL ROCK YOU include Las Vegas , Japan and Australia . Globally, more than 6 million people have now seen the show.

In the international touring production, the cast of 28 international performers includes Mig Ayesa as Galileo. Mig has more than 750 performances as Galileo on the West End stage to his credit. Stealing a fair chunk of the limelight is New Zealand's pop princess, Annie Crummer as Killer Queen, who was specifically chosen by Ben Elton and Brian May to play the role of Killer Queen as they were blown away' by the power and range of her voice, not to mention her unique stage presence.
