The history of Nova Amadeus Orchestra is one of the successes of its founder Stefano Sovrani. The Orchestra has participated in many international festivals and has played to demanding audiences in Greece, Switzerland, Germany, France, Malta, Tunisia, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Belgium, Yugoslavia, Ireland, Denmark, United States, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Canada, and China.
In Bangkok, the Orchestra in collaboration with the orchestra of Macedonia Opera will present classics from Verdi, Puccini, Rossini and others under the baton of world-renowned conductor Guiseppe Sabbatini who has fronted orchestras like Kyoto Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, Roma Sinfonietta, Orchestra of the Puccini Festival, ‘Orchestra Toscanini’ in Parma, St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, Orchestra of ‘Teatro Sao Pedro’ Sao Paulo in Brazil, Russian National Orchestra of Moscow, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Tokyo Philharmonic.
A renowned tenor before he turned conductor, Sabbatini’s
debut as a conductor was in 2009 with La Bohème, an opera he had previously sung hundreds of times.
The evening’s programme features only the orchestra in:
1st part
Rossini’ La gazza ladra Symphony; Bellini’s Norma Symphony; Verdi’s Nabucco Symphony; Verdi’s I vespri siciliani Symphony; Puccini’s Madame Butterfly Interlude act III; and Suor Angelica Intermezzo.
2nd part
Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia Symphony; Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi Symphony; Donizetti’s Don Pasquale Overture; Verdi’s La forza del destino Symphony; Puccini’s Manon Lescaut Intermezzo; and Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana Intermezzo.
